Numonius Vaala (41 BC), Silver Denarius, C NVMONIVS – VAALA, male head facing right, rev VAALA in exergue, soldier rushing left, attacking a rampart being defended by a further two soldiers, 3.99g, 9h (Cr 514/2; Sydenham 1087; RBW 1792). Attractive old cabinet tone, a little softly-struck on top of head, otherwise about extremely fine.
