BRITISH COINS, Charles I, Silver Halfcrown, 1642, Shrewsbury mint (1642), King on horseback left with upright sword, initial mark plume without crown, rev Declaration in two lines, three Shrewsbury plumes above, date below, 14.39g (cf Brooker 826; N 2378; S 2934). Irregular flan, double struck in places on obverse, an attractive example with even tone, good very fine, rare.
