The Kings and Queens of England, a complete set of medals cast in terracotta bisque, after the series by Jean Dassier with additions, from William the Conqueror to William IV, possibly by Leeds Pottery, c. 1831-1837, 36 medals each with bust to l., or r., stamped on reverse with dates of Birth, Coronation and Death, last with Birth, Accession and Coronation dates, each approx. 40mm. (including Cromwell), contained in the original rectangular japanned tin case with angled corners and lock (no key), with lift-out tray containing 36 compartments for the medals, most lined with leather protective squares, a few medals with minor edge chips, but overall in excellent condition and, as a complete set, extremely rare (£600-700)
