† William III, half guinea, 1698, laur. bust r., rev. crowned cruciform shields, sceptres in angles (S.3468), certified and graded by NGC as Mint State 64, a lovely coin indeed with smooth satiny lustre and quite a good portrait, one of the finest we have encountered, rare so fine (£3250-3750)
