Lot of 7 counterfeit gold coins: mostly ½ sultani made of red gold (40-50%), all are holed vf-xf

a. 1128ah
b. 1185ah
c. 1186ah
d. 1188ah (2 coins)
e. Hafsid "dinar" (2 coins, one made of yellow gold, the other of gilt silver)
In Ottoman Tunis, such contemporary forgeries appeared in the marketplace from time to time. Once discovered, they were holed in order to "mark" them as such and take them out of circulation.
