Egyptian faience Reis or Overseer Ushabti, 3rd Intermediate Period, 22nd Dynasty, ca. 945-715 B.C.. , wearing characteristic kilt and rectangular apron of everyday life, short wig with seshed head band with long strands at back which support basket. Right arm is bent across the waist and holds a whip, left arm pendant at side. Face rounded with nicely detailed eyes and brows, single column of hieroglyphic text down front of legs. H: 5 (12.7 cm).
