Coptic Egyptian wood comb, ca. 5th-8th Century A.D. , the central portion decorated with intricate incised geometric decoration. The large teeth long and well-formed, the narrow end with teeth of even size. 6” x 2 1/8” (15.2 x 5.4 cm). Minor losses and a nice example which once formed part of the toiletry assemblage of a fashionable lady! Ex New Jersey private estate. Est Value: $700 - $800.
