Great Britain: 2 pcs 5 Pounds 1936 - a special forgery that was not yet known - the forgery is not a typical Operation Bernhard because it has another type of watermark (much more faded than the one on the real Bernhard notes) and the paper is slightly different. Furthermore the numbering type is different (the serial number style is different) from the Bernhard ones. As there are no other types of forgeries are known to the cataloger yet, one can think that this type of forgeries were some trial printings of forgeries or from a completely different source of forgeries from the White Pounds of that time. Anyway a nice banknote-historical find. Both condition VF. (2 pcs)
