Great Britain: 3 different types of White Pound Forgeries, containing 1 Operation Bernhard 5 Pounds 1938 with clear watermark in usual style and two different (yet unknown) 5 Pounds 1935 and 1936) - special forgery that which are not yet known. The 1935 forgery is not a typical Operation Bernhard because it is missing the watermark and the paper is slightly different. The 1936 fogery is different from the Bernhard notes because it has another type of watermark (much more faded than the one on the real Bernhard notes) and the paper is slightly different. Furthermore the numbering type is different (the serial number style is different) from the Bernhard onesAs there are no other types of forgeries are known to the cataloger yet, one can think that this type of forgeries were some trial printings of forgeries or from a completely different source of forgeries from the White Pounds of that time. Anyway a nice banknote-historical find. Condition: (1x UNC, 1x aUNC, 1x VF), nice set. (3 pcs)
