BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, ENGLAND, William Davies, Birmingham Die-sinker and engraver, Silver Halfpenny, 1789, obv laureate bust in profile right, GEORGIVS III REX around, D below bust, rev oval shield of arms, VISITED PLYMOUTH around, AUGUST 1789 in exergue, edge plain (Conder p.312, *5; Atkins p.20, 8; D&H Devonshire 8). Faint brush marks, otherwise nearly as made and attractively toned.
