I. in a shield between sprigs of flowers, crest a demi-lion, SPALDING HALFPENNY 1794 around, tail of demi-lion nearly touches H of HALFPENNY, outer leaf to left extends past S of SPALDING, edge PAYABLE AT LEEK STAFFORDSHIRE (Atkins p.69, 6d; D&H Lincolnshire 6d). From the fractured reverse die, nearly good extremely fine and very rare.
