BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, ENGLAND, Thomas Jennings, (1737-1820), ironmonger and stationer, Holbeach, Copper Halfpenny, 1794, obv Britannia standing, facing left, small lion below, ships in the background, SUCCESS TO THE COMMERCE OF BRITAIN around, rev cypher T. I. in a shield between sprigs of flowers, crest a demi-lion, SPALDING HALFPENNY 1794 around, tail of demi-lion nearly touches H of HALFPENNY, outer leaf to left extends past S of SPALDING, edge PAYABLE AT LEEK STAFFORDSHIRE (Atkins p.69, 6d; D&H Lincolnshire 6d). From the fractured reverse die, nearly good extremely fine and very rare.
