BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, ENGLAND, Wright & Palmer, David Wright (1743-1811) and Stephen Palmer (1749-1828) were both mercers, Copper Halfpenny, 1793, obv Wainfleet Abbey, 1459 below, FOUNDED BY WILLIAM WAYNEFLETE around, rev figure of Hope, left arm resting on anchor, finger of right hand touches first E of WAINFLEET, edge plain (D&H Lincolnshire 8f). From the fractured reverse die, good extremely fine with faded colour remaining, very rare.
