BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, ENGLAND, Uncertain Issuer, Copper Halfpenny, 1801, obv beehive and bees within a wreath of roses and thistles, T. P. in script below, INDUSTRY THE SOURCE OF CONTENT, rev shield inscribed FOR CHANGE IN TRADE, with TO CONVENIENCE THE PUBLIC 1801 around, edge plain (Atkins p.372, 120bis; D&H Middlesex 1029). A little detritus, better than extremely fine, rare.

A good many of the imitation tokens and mules listed can likely be traced to the shop of William Lutwyche. However, at this point it is purely conjecture so, for the time being, they remain listed as having uncertain origin.
