BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, ENGLAND, Uncertain Issuer, Brass Farthing, obv bust left, star above, PRINCE OF . WALES, rev Prince of Wales' crest, ornaments above and below, ICH DIEN around, no stars before and after the motto, edge plain (Atkins p.384, 247; D&H Middlesex 1142). Extremely fine for issue and exceedingly rare, only one other example traced.
A good many of the imitation tokens and mules listed can likely be traced to the shop of William Lutwyche. However, at this point it is purely conjecture so, for the time being, they remain listed as having uncertain origin.
