BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, WALES, Parys Mine Company,Thomas Williams, (1737-1802), attorney and businessman, part owner and managing partner of the Parys and Mona Mine Companies of Anglesey, Copper Halfpenny, 1790, Druid's head left within oak wreath and border of acorns, sixteen acorns in wreath, eight each side, small W on truncation, two inside acorns at tie, one each side, rev P M Co cypher, ANGLESEY . MINES . HALFPENNY 1790 around within a border of acorns, edge PAYABLE X IN X LONDON X OR X ANGLESEY. X (Atkins p.281, 205; D&H Anglesey 385). A little detritus and minor areas of discolouration, otherwise good extremely fine and bronzed, exceedingly rare.
