BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, WALES, Uncertain Issuer, Imitation Copper Halfpenny, 1791, obv Druid's head left within thin oak wreath, eighteen acorns in wreath, nine on each side, single inside acorn to left above point of hood, four acorns at tie, rev P M Co cypher, 1791, THE ANGLESEY MINES HALFPENNY around, first 1 points slightly to left of second limb of second N of HALFPENNY, second 1 points towards H of THE, apex of second ascender of M of PMCo points to right of 1, edge PAYABLE AT CRONEBANE OR IN DUBLIN (D&H Anglesey 392). Scattered marks, otherwise extremely fine and exceedingly rare, untraced by D&H and the only example currently known.
