BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, SCOTLAND, William Fullarton (1754-1808) MP, later Governor of Trinidad in 1802, Copper Halfpenny, 1797, obv armoured bust left, GULIELMUS VALLAS around, rev female seated, left arm resting upon a shield, SCOTIA REDIVIVA around, 17 TC 97 in exergue, edge plain, not in collar (D&H Ayrshire 3a). Struck from lightly rusted dies on a small flan, essentially as made and exceedingly rare.
