BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, IRELAND, Hibernian Mine Company, Copper Halfpenny, 1792, obv seated figure of Hibernia left, INCORPORATED BY ACT OF PARLIAMENT 1792, top of head under middle of A of ACT, left side of base touches NC of INCORPORATED, upper right base almost to middle of E of PARLIAMENT, D of INCORPORATED without lower serif, RP and RAT of INCORPORATED touch, ARLIAMEN of PARLIAMENT touch, strings two through six extend into wing, rev H M Co. cypher, CAMAC KYAN AND CAMAC HALFPENNY, loop of cypher C to centre of M of second CAMAC, top of cypher C points to right side of D, AMA of first CAMAC touch, lower left serif of A of AND recut to the top, AM of second CAMAC touch, upper intersection of first stroke of cypher H and first stroke flourish of cypher M is notched on the right side, edge PAYABLE IN DUBLIN OR AT BALLYMURTAGH . + . (D&H Dublin 36bis). Nearly very fine for issue, the reverse double struck, exceptionally rare.
