BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, IRELAND, Uncertain Issuer, Imitation Copper Halfpenny of the Hibernian Mine Company, 1792, obv seated figure of Hibernia left, INCORPORATED BY ACT OF PARLIAMENT 1792, harp with nine strings, top of head under centre of A of ACT, top of harp to stem of L of PARLIAMENT, AR and IAM of PARLIAMENT touch, 1 and 9 larger than 7 and 2, all harp strings extend into wing, rev H M Co. cypher, CANAC RONE AND CANAC HALFPENNY, loop of cypher C between NA of second CANAC, top of cypher C points to left of first C of second CANAC, all C's recut on top, NNY of HALFPENNY touch, Y of HALFPENNY smaller than N, edge PAYABLE IN DUBLIN CORK OR DERRY oooo (Conder p.188, 14; Atkins p.336, 57; D&H Dublin 189, this token illustrated). Better than extremely fine for issue and very rare.
