BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, IRELAND, Robert Woodcock, Copper Halfpenny (3), 1800, all plain edge, obv castle by the sea within oval, PAYABLE AT THE BANK OF R. W. ENNISCORTHY, seven perpendicular bars to portcullis and one horizontal bar, N's of ENNISCORTHY with full upper and lower serifs, rev R W cypher on a shield hanging from a tree, A. D. 1800. above (Atkins p.352, 1; D&H Wexford 1); obv six perpendicular bars to portcullis, N's of ENNISCORTHY with full lower serifs (Atkins p.352, 3; D&H Wexford 3); obv the single horizontal bar does not run through the left-hand bar, N's of ENNISCORTHY with full upper and lower serifs (Atkins p.352, 4; D&H Wexford 4). D&H 1 with the remains of old lacquer, very fine, others nearly extremely fine or better, D&H 1 rare. (3)
