BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, IRELAND, Robert Woodcock, Copper Halfpenny (9), 1800, all plain edge, obv R W cypher, crest a peacock, FOR CHANGE above, top of crest under second limb of H of CHANGE, long wings of crest, left wing extending above beak of peacock (2), rev PAYABLE AT WOODCOCK'S BANK ENNISCORTHY, apostrophe between the K and S (Atkins p.352, 5; D&H Wexford 5); rev full serifs on upper right and lower left strokes of N's (D&H Wexford 6); obv short wings of crest, left wing does not extend above beak of peacock and points to second limb of R of FOR; rev partial serifs on upper right and lower left strokes of N's (D&H Wexford 7); obv second 0 of date very close to cypher, rev full serifs on upper right and lower left strokes of N's, apostrophe is over S (Atkins p.352, 6; D&H Wexford 8); obv second 0 of date close to cypher, rev partial serifs on upper right and lower left strokes of N's (2) (D&H Wexford 9); obv downstroke of uppermost left loop of cypher some distance from lower left upper stroke of R (D&H Wexford 11); rev apostrophe is pear-shaped and between K and S (Atkins p.352, 7; D&H Wexford 12); obv top of crest touches first limb of H of CHANGE (2), rev large letters in WOODCOCK'S (Atkins p.352, 8; D&H Wexford 13); rev amulet instead of apostrophe between K and S (D&H Wexford 16).
