Brazil 1724 M (Au) 20'000 Reis, Joao V (KM: 117) Iconic large world gold coin The obverse legend reads IOANNES * V * D * G * PORT * ET * ALG * REX around the crowned Portuguese arms, with IN HOC SIGNO VINCES on the reverse around a cross with the mintmark "M" in the angles. This coin is a very nice example of the impressive Minas "Dobrao", with nice lustre and bold details. 1724 is the rare date of this short four (4) year series.
