Clump of 3 Lima, Peru, bust 8 reales, Charles IV, assayer IJ (probably all dated 1800), encrusted as found. 86.55 grams total. Leaning stack of what appear to be solid, uncorroded coins, each one encrusted with white and green debris and darkly toned, with just enough of top and bottom coins exposed to identify the mint and king and assayer. Recovered from: Leocadia, sunk in 1800 off Punta Santa Elena, Ecuador ($175-250)
