Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 escudos, 1714J, "GRAT" variety (rare), encapsulated NGC MS 63, from the 1715 Fleet (stated inside slab). S-M30; KM-57.2; CT-107. 26.9 grams. Crisp and almost Royal-like details on both sides, with most of legend visible (full GRAT and bottom half of date), hints of red toning on cross side, edge-split, tied for finest known in NGC census. From the 1715 Fleet, and pedigreed to the Charles Eidel collection. ($10000-15000)
