Potosi, Bolivia, cob 4 reales, (1649-50)O, with crown-alone countermark (rare style) on cross. S-P35; KM-17b. 10.96 grams. Most of countermark (Ullian Type C), solid flan with no visible corrosion (yet underweight), most of cross and shield, nicely toned, edge-crack. From the Maravillas Research Collection of Countermarked Potosi Cobs, with Marex certificate and tag #0415. Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island ($350-500)
