Southern Anatolia. Circa 10th-13th Century. Weight of 7-dirhams (Lead, 16x14mm, 18.93 g), a commercial weight in the form of a roughly flattened sphere of doubly truncated form, with its sides composed of facets, of which most contain a deeply punched depression. Cf. Holland 123 ff. (bronze). Cf. CPAI 1, 129 ff. (bronze). An unusual piece. Heavy grey patina, with some minor scratches. Good very fine.
