Messana (as Zankle). Circa 500-493 BC. Drachm (Silver, 25mm, 5.17 g). DANKLE Dolphin to left within the sickle-shaped harbor of Messana. Rev. Design of raised and sunk squares and triangles; in the center, cockle shell. Gielow 57 ff. SNG ANS 30 ff. A well struck example. Slightly porous from cleaning, otherwise, good very fine.
