Messana. 445-439 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25mm, 17.10 g 12). Charioteer driving biga of mules walking to right; above, flying Nike to left holding wreath; in exergue, olive leaf. Rev. ΜΕΣΣΑΝΙΟΝ Hare springing right; below, olive sprig. Caltabiano 364 (D163/R153). Struck from a heavily worn obverse die, otherwise, about very fine.
