Syracuse. Second Democracy, Circa 405 BC. Litra (Silver, 12mm, 0.79 g 11). Head of Arethusa to left, her hair bound up in a sakkos, wearing a simple earring and a pearl necklace; in right field, dolphin. Rev. Octopus. SNG ANS 293. SNG Copenhagen 675. A nice example of very elegant style. Some deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
