Syracuse. Dionysios I, 405-367 BC. 100 Litrai (Gold, 14mm, 5.79 g 9), c. 405-400. [ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ] Head of Arethusa to left wearing triple pendant earring and pearl necklace, and with her hair gathered up at the back in a sakkos ornamented with two stars; behind her neck, star of six rays. Rev. Herakles kneeling right, strangling the Nemean lion. Bérend 20 (D13/R9). Dewing 925 (same dies). Obverse slightly double-struck and with a reverse struck from rusty and worn die. Good very fine.
