Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18mm, 3.92 g 12), in the type of Alexander III of Macedon, Kolophon, c. 299/8-297/6 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, head of lion above crescent; below throne, pentagram. Müller 20. Price L28. Thompson 127. Nicely toned. Very fine.
