Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26mm, 16.87 g 11), uncertain mint in Paeonia, c. 300-286. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on backless throne, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter in his left; in field to left, eight pointed star. Price 644. Slight roughness on reverse to left of Zeus, otherwise, very fine.
