Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17mm, 4.18 g 12), Kolophon, struck under Philip III Arrhidaios, c. 322-319. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, star; to right, spearhead. Price 1759. Good very fine.
