Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 35mm, 16.72 g 11), Alabanda, local year 1 = 174-173. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, Pegasus flying left; below throne, A. Price 2460. Struck on a very large flan. Some flatness on the reverse, otherwise, about very fine.
