Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16mm, 4.16 g 12), Sardes, c. 334-323. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, rose; below throne, monogram. Price 2554. Attractively toned. Very fine.
