Lokris Opuntii. Second quarter 4th century BC. Circa 350s BC. Triobol or Hemidrachm (Silver, 15mm, 2.58 g 8). Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of wheat leaves, pearl necklace and earring. Rev. OΠONTΩN Ajax, nude but for helmet, advancing right, holding short sword in his right hand and, with his left, a shield decorated with a lion rushing right on the inside; between Ajax's legs, long transverse spear with point upwards.
