Lokris Opuntii. Second quarter 4th century BC. Triobol or Hemidrachm (Silver, 15mm, 2.46 g 11). Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of wheat leaves, pearl necklace and earring. Rev. OΠONTΩN Ajax, nude but for helmet, advancing right, holding short sword in his right hand and, with his left, a shield decorated with a serpent on the inside; between legs, kantharos. BCD 55. SNG Lockett 1700. Nearly very fine.
