Athens. Circa 430s BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22mm, 17.17 g 9). Head of Athena to right, wearing disc earring, pearl necklace and a crested Attic helmet adorned with three olive leaves and a spiral palmette. Rev. ΑΘE Owl standing to right, head facing the viewer; to left, olive sprig and crescent moon; all within an incuse square. Agora 8. Dewing 1596 ff. Svoronos pl. 13, 21 ff. Light iridescent toning. Minor die break on the obverse and a test cut on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
