Tarentum. Circa 276-272 BC. Obol (Gold, 9mm, 0.85 g 9). Head of youthful Herakles in lion skin headdress to right. Rev. ΤΑΡΑΣ Phalanthos riding dolphin to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and trident in his left. Fischer-Bossert G34. HN III 992 (but wrong legends). Well centered. A few light marks and scratches, otherwise, very fine.
