Tarentum. Circa 272-240 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20mm, 6.49 g 9), Philotas. Horseman advancing left, crowning horse with wreath; to right, ΔI; below horse, ΦIΛΩ-TAΣ. Rev. TAPAΣ Taras riding dolphin left, holding kantharos in right hand and distaff in left; to right, rooster. HN III 1024. Vlasto 846. Reverse struck somewhat off center and with minor flan faults, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
