Miletos. 2nd - early 1st Century BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14mm, 2.33 g 11), Menander, magistrate. Laureate head of Apollo facing slightly to right. Rev. [M]ENANΔΡ[ΟΣ] Lion to left, head reverted; to left, monograms of MI and ME; to right, star. Kinns, p. 255, note 59. Extremely rare and with a magnificent facing head of Apollo. Very light porosity, otherwise, extremely fine.
