Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31mm, 16.48 g 1), Ake-Ptolemais, circa 121-113. Diademed head of Antiochos VII to right. Rev. ΒAΣΙΛEΩΣ ΑNTIOXOY EΠIΦANOYΣ Zeus Ouranios, draped, standing facing, head to left, holding star in outstretched hand and long scepter, crescent above; to left, monogram. HGC 9, 1197h. SC 2336.2. A nice example with a particularly sharp reverse. Minor area of discoloration on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
