Tarsus. Hadrian, 117-138. Tetradrachm (Billon, 26mm, 13.55 g 11). [AYT KAI TPA ΠAP Y ΘE NEP Y TPAIA AΔPIANOC / Π - Π Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right, seen from behind. Rev. AΔPIANOC TAPCEΩN / [MH]TPOΠ-[OΛEΩC] Decastyle temple on podium with steps; eagle in pediment; KOINOC (sic!) KIΛIKIAC. RPC -, cf. 3274 (laureate head left and wreath in pediment). Highly interesting. An apparently unpublished variety of an extremely rare type. Very fine.
