Kroton. Circa 380-360 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 23mm, 7.79 g 0). Head of Hera Lakinia three-quarters facing, turned slightly to the right, wearing stephane ornamented with palmette flanked by griffins. Rev. KPOTΩ Youthful Herakles seated to left on a rock draped with his lionskin, holding a one-handled cup in his right hand and resting his left on lionskin; above, club and bow above MΔ. SNG ANS 382 (same dies). SNG Oxford 1524 (same dies). Beautifully toned and with a fine pedigree. Good very fine.
