M. Cipius M.f, 115-114 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17mm, 3.94 g 5), Rome. M CIPI M F Helmeted head of Roma to right; behind, X. Rev. ROMA Victory in prancing biga right, holding reins and palm branch tied with fillet; below horses, rudder. Babelon (Cipia) 1. Crawford 289/1. Sydenham 546. A most attractively toned example. Struck on a slightly short flan, otherwise, about extremely fine.
