Salonina, Augusta, 254-268. Antoninianus (Silver, 21x25mm, 2.59 g 7), hybrid issue with a reverse of Valerian I, Cologne, 258-259. SALONINA AVG Diademed and draped bust of Salonina to right, set on crescent. Rev. DEO VOLKANO Vulcan standing left within tetrastyle temple, holding hammer in his right hand and tongs in his left. Cohen 50, MIR 884 and RIC 5 (for the reverse type, Valerian I). Rare. A very interesting hybrid issue with a lovely toning. Minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
