Gratian, 367-383. Solidus (Gold, 20mm, 3.56 g 6), a contemporary imitation. D N GRATIANVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Gratian to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVGG / TRORT (sic!) Valentinian I and Gratian enthroned facing, each with right hand on a globe between them; above, Victory facing with wings spread; palm frond between. Cf. RIC 49b. About extremely fine.
An interesting contemporary imitation of a Treveri issue from 378-383: note its light weight.
