British Coins, Edward I (1272-1307), groat, London, variety a (Fox 5), small crowned bust facing, flower at each side of hair within quatrefoil of three lines, flat crown with pellet ornaments, drapery of two wedges with rosette below, flowers in spandrels, rev. long cross, three pellets in each angle, wt. 5.51gms. (S.1379A; N.1007), a few minor marks, otherwise a very good example, fine to very fine and very rare (£7000-8000)
