The portrait types of Commodus develop from childhood via adolescence with an increasing growth of his beard to adult portraits that experiment with different styles of portraiture. AMP.

IMP III – COS II P P S – C Minerva standing l, dropping incense over candelabrum and resting l. hand over shield set on ground; a spear rests against her l. arm. C 234 var. (no drapery). BMC M.
