Marius' portraits with a short beard can be very impressive and individual. AMP.

Antoninianus, uncertain mint 269, AR 2.88 g. IMP C M AVR MARIVS AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust r. Rev. VIRTVS AVG Soldier standing l., leaning on shield and holding spear in l. hand. C 22. RIC 19. Elmer 640. Light iridescent tone and ancient silver coating almost intact.
Hairline flan crack at ten o'clock on obverse,
otherwise extremely fine
